Autumn lovers rejoice!

Passing of the summer season this year brings us a whole new set of reasons to be excited about being in Toronto. Aside from the mesmerizing colours of the leaves, delicious pumpkin spiced lattes, and beautiful fall outfits, there are fun and fascinating festivals happening all over the city only minutes away from King West and Midtown.

To help you get started, we've picked out our five favorite autumn festivals in Toronto.

Nuit Blanche

On September 30th from sunset to sunrise, the entire city of Toronto becomes a contemporary art exhibit. More than 85 projects created by 350 local, national, and international artists will grace the streets of Toronto. Experience post-apocalyptic vibes, wild colours, light installations, and thought-provoking art pieces in the very city you call home. Whether it be Midtown or King West, take advantage of the extended TTC services to get the most out of this festival!

Toronto After Dark Film Festival

If you're a fan of horror, sci-fi, action, and cult cinema, this popular annual film festival will surely satisfy your taste for good movies. Toronto After Dark 2017 will take place at Scotiabank Theatre from October 12th to 20th, showcasing films from various indie filmmakers. Grab your all-access passes before they are sold out! Scotiabank Theatre is located only a few blocks away from King West.

Toronto Oktoberfest

Join 5,000 others at Ontario Place dressed in dirndls and lederhosen, and celebrate Bavarian heritage with food, beer, and music. This year's Toronto Oktoberfest will feature a 30,000 sqft tent, plenty of taps and servers, and VIP experience. Best of all, this event will take place a streetcar ride away from King West!

JFL42

JFL42 is a 10 day comedy festival presented by Just For Laughs that goes from September 21st to 30th, with comedy shows taking place in venues all over Toronto. These venues include Rivoli, Comedy Bar, Royal Theatre, Revival, Bad Dog Comedy Theatre, Second City, Yuk Yuk's, and Sony Centre. Easily access these venues from our Midtown and King West residences via TTC. This year's headlining comedians include Bill Burr, John Mulaney, Ali Wong, Mike Birbiglia, Tom Segura, and more. Don't forget to grab your pass!

Small World Music Festival

This four-day festival brings the sounds of Mali, Korea, Cuba, Ethiopia, Palestine, Spain, Estonia and more to Toronto stages. Going from September 14th to 17th, this festival captures the sounds of the globe, and brings it to premier venues like Massey Hall, The Rivoli, Small World Music Centre, and more.
